I called my Dr office Monday afternoon. I told them that I hadn't heard from the since the nurse sent me to get my beta done a day early (waited a second or two for a response, an excuse, but nothing) and that hubby and I would like to find out about next steps with FET.  We made an appointment for Wed., Nov 2nd  to talk to the Dr. That's right before my next cycle starts, so hopefully we can have FET done in Nov because I'm impatient I know Hubby and I would like to try once more before the end of 2011.

The acupuncturist also called me back. She started the conversation with, "So you want to get pregnant, huh?"  The receptionist that I talked to last week must've written down why I was calling. I explained that we have had 2 failed IVF cycles and are looking at doing an FET in Nov. I hoped to know more after my Nov. 2nd appointment.  She said that she has a schedule she follows and there are certain days that she does certain things in the cycle. She wants to go ahead and get me in once before we start another IVF cycle to strengthen my body.  So I scheduled an appointment with her for Tuesday afternoon.  What the can't hurt, right?

  1. No matter what it does, if you feel that it might help, then it helps. I always felt that by going to acupuncture I was at least controlling a small part of the situation. I am crossing my fingers and saying all of my prayers and hoping for you so hard!!!

  2. Hoping your follow up, or "WTF" appointment goes well and you can move forward with your FET. I'm impatient too. I love the idea of adding an acupuncturist. I adore mine, and it had truly helped me get to know my body better. It can't hurt and it COULD help!

  3. Where the needles go depend on what CD it is. My cousin is a DO and lent us his book on acupuncture for pregnancy and childbirth, which included info on acupuncture for fertility. He also taught DH how to do it, but DH was too nervous.

  4. Acupuncture has worked wonders for me... it's got my cycles on track and my health overall has significantly improved - it's great :)) Hope your appt goes well & you head into your FET in Nov xoxo

  5. No it can't hurt. I am glad you are being so proactive. Doing IVF twice and then gearing up for a FET cycle...I am blown away at your drive. I know that the negative cycles can drain you and prove to be hard on you both physically and emotionally.
I am proud of you and hope that we will someday soon be pregnant together.
